I was filing taxes. Then I got an idea.
I thought to myself,
"What does this all mean?"
"Why did these forms need to be so complicated and inpersonal?"
So I took it upon myself to create a mobile app that helps you file your 1040 [not so] EZ.
Here is a snapshot.
As someone passionate about form design and derive a lot of enjoyment out of simplifying complex systems,
I decided to redesign the archaic tax form into something modern.
First, I did a task flow of the current filing process.
Then I asked myself a couple of questions:
What did people want to accomplish?
When were they most likely doing it?
What are the 25 other things they'll be doing simultaneously?
How do I make this process intuitive?
